I've have witnessed those crimes before I worked and ultimately settled here in singapore a very safe country compared to ours'. In manila there is 1 million lost firearms and 1 million outstanding warrants or fugitives then if u put the fugitives from the provinces on top of it it could number to 1.5 million unemployed fugitives with no means of living which more likely involved in illegal activities roaming the streets manila. SO I SUGGEST OFWs and families of OFW to take extra precaution because you are the sweet and soft targets they want. You have to own and learn to fire a handgun because most violent criminals have firearms and improvised firearms and violent criminals are not so rare.the only way to deal with imminent deadly force it to react with deadly force. DO NOT TRUST THE POLICE IN THE PHILIPPINES BELIEVE ME THEY WILL ONLY BE THERE WHEN YOU'RE ALREADY DEAD OR WORST ALIVE BUT PERMANENTLY DISABLED if you're lucky enough and your case gets media attention then probably someone will be jailed or most likely killed for the crime done to you but the thing is most of the time some other criminal not the one who did the thing to you will be caught or killed. the logistics of our police force are so inadequate and funny when compared to other police forces that if someone not known and living in manila kills and robs you in manila then hides in some province in mindanao he'll never get caught.
