<p align="justify"><span id="more-367"></span>Don&#8217;t be victimized by Iranian employers and unscrupulous recruitment agencies promising employment in Iran as foreign household service workers. The Department of Foreign Affairs recently said that Iran does not accept foreign household service workers from Philippines or any other country.</p>
<p align="justify">If you don&#8217;t want to join the stranded group of Filipina women facing charges of illegal employment in Iran, better be vigilant when similar jobs in Iran are being offered to you. Filipino victims enter Iran via Dubai using tourist visas and are told that their work permits will be processed upon their arrival in Iran.</p>
<p align="justify">Illegal foreign workers in Iran will be fined 3,000,000 Iranian rials or approximately $30 for each day of overstay in the country.</p>

The Philippine government thru the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Philippine Embassy in Tehran issued an advisory to all Filipinos in Iran to take precautionary measures at home and at work.</p>
<p align="justify"><span id="more-277"></span>Aside from taking safety precautions, Filipinos should also make themselves accessible at all times and maintain communication with the Philippine Embassy.</p>
<p align="justify">The Philippine Embassy in Tehran, meanwhile, is ready and prepared to activate and carry out its contingency plan &#8211; when necessary. DFA, however, maintained that there is still no need to evacuate Filipinos living there, at the moment.</p>
<p align="justify">There are approximately 1,500 Filipinos living in Tehran.</p>
