The ratification of Jpepa or Japan Economic Partnership Agreement last October has paved the way for employment opportunities in Japan for professional and skilled Filipino workers.
Japan will soon prove to be the land of the rising sun for Filipinos as job opportunities will be opened not only for nurses and caregivers but also for workers in the field of engineering and information technology.
Jpepa has opened the way for career opportunities in Japan for Filipino engineers, information technology experts and other professionals because the agreement has allowed easy access in the markets of both Philippines and Japan thus improving business ties and entry of more OFWs in Japan.
The work opportunities in Japan however does not assure that Filipinos can get easy employment. The Japan International Cooperation Agency has advised Filipinos to learn the Japanese language to increase the chances of employment. They added that some employers prefer applicants who can speak Japanese.
Another positive news for Filipino job-seekers – and let’s use this opportunity to our advantage. Knowing the work ethics of the Japanese, Filipinos should know how to deliver their expectations. Japanese employers know our potential and its up for us now to prove that we are worth hiring for.
